Becoming an Expat... Again

One of the great things about Jason's job is that his company is based here in St. Louis, which means we can live within just a few miles of both of our families while maintaining a short commute to work. Some of you might remember, though, that Jason's company was bought out by an international company a few years ago. At the time, we talked about what we would do if we got relocated even though it seemed really far-fetched with the type of work Jason does. With it being more of a dream than a possible reality, I told Jason that he should seriously consider any good opportunities for career growth that might include a relo. Both of us grew up in military families and have great memories of growing up all over the world (Jason in Guam and me in Germany), and I told him I knew it would be hard but thought it would be a worthwhile experience for our family.

And earlier this month, Jason was offered an amazing position at his company's global headquarters... in Belgium! We have been prayerfully considering the offer for weeks and finally decided to accept this amazing opportunity. We'll be packing and saying goodbye for the next two weeks, and then, we're off! I'll keep everyone updated on here, and of course, we would love to have everyone come visit and enjoy the waffles!
